What is plagioclase?
Plagioclase is a type of feldspar, a silicate mineral that is very common and important on Earth. Plagioclase does not have a specific chemical composition, but a solid solution series formed by albite and anorthite in different proportions.
The main use of plagioclase powder
Feldspar powder used in ceramics, glass, and enamel industries is generally rich in potassium or sodium, so plagioclase powder is widely used in glass manufacturing.
Generally speaking, plagioclase powder is used in industry. The main industries used include glass manufacturing, ceramics, enamel and other industries such as abrasives and welding rods. Among them, the use of feldspar powder in the ceramic industry reaches 30%.
1. Glass manufacturing industry
In the glass manufacturing industry, plagioclase powder has high Al2O3 content, low iron content, and is more fusible than alumina, and can widen the melting range at low temperature melting, so it becomes the main component of glass mixture, and can also improve The alumina content in the glass batch reduces the amount of alkali used. At the same time, after the plagioclase powder is melted, the glass forming progress is slower than other mixed raw materials, and the crystallization ability is reduced, which can prevent the glass from being damaged due to the crystal during the glass forming process. Therefore, glass mixing is the main application of plagioclase powder containing potassium and sodium.
2. Ingredients for ceramic embryos
In addition to the glass manufacturing industry, the plagioclase powder is also used in the ingredients of the ceramic embryo. Before the ceramic embryo is fired, the plagioclase powder is used as a barren raw material. The plagioclase powder can reduce the embryo body. The deformation and shrinkage caused by drying are beneficial to the improvement of the drying performance of the embryo body and shorten the drying time. When the ceramic embryo is fired, the plagioclase powder is used as a flux to reduce the firing temperature of the embryo, so that the quartz and kaolin can be rapidly melted, and the formation of mullite can be accelerated to promote the forming of the embryo.
In addition, in the process of firing the ceramic embryo, the plagioclase glass body generated during the melting process of the plagioclase powder can be used to fill the mullite grains and reduce the voids of the grains in the embryo, which is beneficial to the improvement of the embryo. Mechanical strength and dielectric properties are very favorable. Moreover, based on the high-energy light transmittance of plagioclase glass, the transmittance of the embryo body is improved.
HGM ultrafine grinding mill can be used for feldspar, Plagioclase, kaolin, limestone, calcite, marble, talc, barite, gypsum, dolomite, bentonite, mica, pyrophyllite, sepiolite, diatomite, graphite, alumite, fluorite, potassium feldspar , Phosphate rock, pigment and other more than 100 kinds of non-flammable and explosive materials with humidity less than 6% and Mohs hardness not greater than 6 are processed into ultra-fine powder. The particle size of the finished product is 325-2500 mesh (0.044-0.005mm).
Working principle of plagioclase grinding mill
The main engine motor drives the main shaft and the turntable to rotate through the reducer, and the turntable drives dozens of ring rollers to roll and rotate in the grinding ring raceway through the pin. The bulk material is crushed into small particles by the hammer crusher and then sent to the storage bin by the elevator.
The electromagnetic vibrating feeder evenly sends the material to the bulk material tray on the upper part of the turntable, and the material is scattered to the circle under the action of centrifugal force.
The periphery of the grinding ring falls into the raceway of the grinding ring to be punched, milled, ground and pulverized by the ring roller. After the first layer is pulverized, the material falls into the second and third layers.
The suction effect of the high-pressure centrifugal fan sucks the outside air The crushed material is brought into the classifier.
The rotating turbine in the powder concentrator makes the coarse particles fall back for regrinding, and the fine powder enters the cyclone powder collector with the airflow and is discharged from the discharge valve at the bottom of the powder concentrator.
After purification, it is discharged through the fan and muffler.
